Wildcat Team Time

Every morning we start our day with Wildcat Team Time.  This is a time where we set the tone for the day and learn how to be the best Wildcats we can be.  This week we have been working on creating our class mission.  Students talked in pairs and whole group about why we come to school, how we want to feel when we come to school, and how we want to make others feel.  Through our conversations we came up with our class mission. 

Mr. Pruitt is working on making a poster for us.  We decorated our cut out hands as a promise to follow our class mission.  When our poster is ready, we will put our hands all around the mission.  (You know I'll post a picture when it is ready!)

Next week we begin our exploration of the 7 Habits of Happy Kids.  This is a book by Sean Covey that is based on the book 7 Habits of Highly Successful People by Stephen Covey.  The habits are centered around leadership and everyone finding the leader within themselves.  Habit 1 is "Be Proactive."  More information on this habit is included in our weekly newsletter coming home on Monday.
