Keep on Swimming

Our kindergarteners are working hard.  We are falling into a routine and its starting to feel like a normal Kindergarten day.  We are no longer having to practice so many procedures and we are able to spend more time learning and exploring!

Our highlight of the week was Ms. Anderson and Ms. Burton beginning our Letterland program.  They will be coming into our rooms Monday-Thursday for phonics instruction and it will also give us the ability to break into four small groups.

Here are some pictures with some other highlights of the week.  Be sure to check your child's folder each Monday for our newsletter with more information on what we are learning and how you can help at home.

Working in collaborative pairs to practice counting strategies.

Using step by step instructions to draw people.

Our people drawings are looking good!

So much growth in a week.

We read Rainbow Fish and made our own!

We used tissue paper and glue to make our rainbow fish.

We were so impressed with the cutting skills we observed!

This was a sweet moment I did not capture fast enough.  Both girls were cutting out the fish.  Together is better!
