Summer is coming to an end and a new school year is about to begin. For some of you, this may be a new experience as you send your first kindergartener to school. For some, you may have done this before with an older child. Either way, it is an exciting and emotional time. Last year I sent my oldest child to kindergarten and I was able to experience all the firsts as a teacher and a parent. Please be assured your child is in good hands and that we take great responsibility in teaching and guiding your child.
The first week will be filled with quite a bit of new information. Please be sure to check your child's backpack and folder each night for paperwork and/or notes. On your child's first day (which will either be Monday or Tuesday depending on which day your child comes) there will be a welcome pack that has more information about me, our classroom management and rules, our schedule, and a student information sheet for you to fill out. Starting Monday, August 31, a class newsletter will be sent home each week that has important dates and what we are learning. You can also check the blog for updates.
